At AKETH Innovation Robotics Lab (AIRLab), students are actively involved in learning discovery and problem solving, using knowledge from various scientific areas of education (STEAM education, educational Robotics). Each lesson is a complete project, through which students learn the practical application of the concepts of Positive Science and how they are applied in our daily lives.

The AKETH Innovation Robotics Lab (AIRLab) is a forward-looking educational movement
that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics to equip students,
educators, and communities with the skills and mindset needed for the 21st century.
Spearheaded by the Development Centre of Thessaly (AKETH), the initiative fosters hands-
on learning, creativity, and problem-solving through a wide range of activities including
educational robotics, coding, maker culture, and interdisciplinary projects that merge
knowledge with social awareness and creative expression.
At AKETH, we believe that STEAM education is not just about technology—it’s about
empowering individuals to think critically, collaborate effectively, and innovate responsibly.
Our programs are designed to inspire curiosity, support inclusive participation, and create
real-world impact across schools, communities, and the broader learning ecosystem.

Meet AKETH Pirates


At the heart of our STEAM action lies AKETH Pirates – our multi-awarded youth robotics
and STEAM team. Composed of talented students and experienced mentors, the team
actively designs and implements original educational missions and themed projects such as
the Pirates Art Museum, Ocean Guard, and Smart Solar Tracker. Their work reflects a
powerful fusion of environmental education, artistic creativity, and technological
innovation. Through public showcases and hands-on workshops, the AKETH Pirates team
inspires the next generation of changemakers.
