Project Summary
This was a staff mobility project for Bromangymnasiet from Sweden.
Bromangymnasiet is a post-16 education school in Hudiksvall, a rural town of 18,000 on Sweden’s east coast, 300 km north of Stockholm. The municipality has 37,000 residents. The school hosts 1,400 students, including the municipality’s special school, and has 160 teaching staff. Students aged 16–18 study for three years across 15 pathways, ten of which are vocational.
The school’s international work is rooted in several beliefs: 1) 99.85% of the world’s population lives outside Sweden, making international interaction vital; 2) modern teaching methods enhance learning; 3) international partnerships offer valuable reflection and improvement; and 4) meeting new people is enriching. In short, the school values international collaboration.
The school's goals—to raise student achievement, increase student voice, and improve the work environment—have led to stronger ICT use. Students have 24/7 laptop access for three years, and all work on the Google platform with full Internet access. ICT has positively impacted teaching and learning
