The difference between social enterprises and conventional ones is that the former have at the core of their mission the "social purpose"

In the midst of so many challenges facing our societies, Social Entrepreneurship becomes necessary in offering solutions, as it seeks to profit for the sustainability, however, of its social purpose.

The The Anaptyxiako Kentro Thessalias(Developmental Center of Thessaly) (AKETH), located in Trikala (https://aketh.eu/), organizes on Friday 11/06/2021 from 16:00 to 20:00 the first online Social Entrepreneurship Competition within the program ScoopConSS (https://scoopconss.eu/).

This European program focuses on teachers and secondary schools.

Its aim is to provide modern teaching tools of the concept of social and solidarity economy to teachers.

The participating teachers, after editing the tools, organized their student groups and guided them to develop their virtual businesses using the NeXt Canvas tool.

In it they have captured the basic characteristics of their businesses, their basic needs, the innovation they offer, but also the social impact they expect.

In this competition will participate with the groups of their students, the 10th General High School of Larissa, the 2nd EPAL Karditsa, the Experimental School of the University of Thessaloniki, the Evening High School with High School Classes of Trikala, the 1st Evening EPAL of Trikala and the Egan School of Trikala.

The social enterprises of the teams will be evaluated during the competition.

The winning team will participate in the European Competition to be held in September 2021, as part of an international event for Social Entrepreneurship, in Florence, Italy.
