In the framework of the institution of the European Days of Cultural Heritage that this year bear the general title: (Heritage: All Inclusive!), The Ephorate of Antiquities of Trikala in collaboration with The Anaptyxiako Kentro Thessalias (Development Center of Thessaly) and the Community Center of the Municipality of Trikala - Roma Branch organized an action in Didimo Ottoman Bath of Trikala.
Forty primary school students from the 17th and 18th Primary School of Trikala had the opportunity to play an interactive game using new technologies (smartphones, tablets, GPS, QR codes, Augmented Reality).
The design, implementation and supervision of the game was done by The Anaptyxiako Kentro Thessalias (Development Center of Thessaly) with the help of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Trikala.
Through the game the children experienced an interactive tour in the Twin Ottoman Bath of Trikala, got to know all the places and understood the whole process of a bath from the cold to the warm space.
In addition, through the game ("treasure hunt" also with the use of modern technology) children understand the applications of modern technology in our daily lives and especially in the preservation and promotion of the culture of an area.
The story was told by the monument itself, while the students discovered their journey through space and time and unfolded their stories with the guidance of the scientific staff of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Trikala and the use of technological means provided by AKETH.
The Development Center of Thessaly would like to thank the students and teachers of the participating schools but especially the scientific staff and the management of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Trikala who contributed to the success of the action.
