The Developmental Center of Thessaly participated in the Second Transnational Project Meeting (9-10/5/2019) of the European program entitled “Use or Lose” which was held in Palermo, Italy. The partnership is composed of 7 partners; the coordinator of the project is Kahramanmaras Metropolitan Municipality (TR), Saglik Hizmetleri Meslek Yüksekokulu (TR), Kahramanmaras Aile ve Sosyal Politikalar Mudurlugu (TR), ABA (BG), SSW Collegium Balticum (PL), CEIPES (IT), and AKETH – DCT.
The project has been approved under Erasmus+ in Key Action 2 – Strategic Partnerships. At the meeting, there was a presentation of the current status of Greece in Alzheimer, by the representative of AKETH, Mrs. Gulsah Aksoy Tzafolia. The next meeting will take place at the premises of AKETH at Trikala, Greece.

DIMPA 2nd Project Meeting in Barcelona

The second Project Meeting (9-10 / 05/2019) of the European project "Digital Innovative Media Publishing for All - DIMPA" (www.dimpaproject.eu/) was held in Barcelona.

The project has been approved under ERASMUS + and specifically KA2 - Strategic Partnerships. and is based on the European priority on open education and innovative practices in the digital age. The main purpose of the project is to develop an open web-based course (MOOC) on the practices and tools of the 6 most common technologies involved in improving the publishing and dissemination of content (EPUB 3, Augmented and Virtual Reality, 360 ° Video, Interactive Video and Brochure Development with Augmented Reality Integration).

Part of the project is the research in each partner country to familiarize stakeholders with the above forms of technology.

The Developmental Center of Thessaly, within the framework of Erasmus+, organizes in co-operation with the "Sarıkız Anaokulu " the training of educators for the European program "Geleceği Kodlayan Nesil", which has been approved by the Erasmus+ National Agency in Turkey. The programme concerns the training of pre-school teachers on Robotics, Coding, Arduino.

2nd Project Meeting of the Tutorbot for Vet Project

The procedures for the 2nd corporate meeting of the Tutorbot for Vet project, which took place on 8-9 April in Mons, Belgium, where the Developmental Center of Thessaly participated as a partner, were completed. The objective of this project is to design, test and train trainers on an innovative digital learning tool and methodology for VET education: a Conversational Agent Technology (mostly known as chatterbot or chatbot) with an ad hoc designed modular learning path to support the VET students in the learning process.
The Developmental Center of Thessaly participated in the kick off meeting (14-15-3/2019) of the European program entitled “Developing Farmers' Digital Skills " which was held in Aydin, Turkey. The partnership is composed of 9 partners; the coordinator of the project is Aydın İl Tarım ve Orman Müdürlüğü , Aydin Valiligi, Aydın Adnan Menderes Universitesi, Söke Zirai Ür. İşl. Tarımsal Yayım ve Hizmetiçi Eğitim Merkezi Müdürlüğü, Karpuzlu Ziraat Odası from Turkey and the other partners; Institut Pro Trénink Pohostinnosti (CZ), Euroform RFS (IT), Inercia Digital SL (ES), and the Developmental Center of Thessaly, ΑΚΕΘ - DCT . The project has been approved under Erasmus+ in Key Action 2 - Strategic Partnerships. The project, Developing Farmers' Digital Skills aims to contribute to the active involvement of rural farmers/producers in social & business life and to ensure that farmers are more active by increasing digital transversal skills; thus to increase their efficiency and productivity in their life.
The Developmental Center of Thessaly participated in the kick off meeting (4-5-3/2019) of the European program entitled " Immigrant Friendly Cities " which was held in Aydin, Turkey. The partnership is composed of 8 partners; the coordinator of the project is Aydin Il Goc Idaresi Mudurlugu (TR), Aydin Valiligi (TR), Sosyal Etki ve Yenilikçi Eğitim Derneği (TR) from Turkey and the other partners; wisamar Bildungsgesellschaft, Pro IFALL, Fønix AS , CEIPES, and the Developmental Center of Thessaly, ΑΚΕΘ - DCT . The project has been approved under Erasmus+ and in Key Action 2 - Strategic Partnerships. The project Immigrant Friendly Cities aims to create a web based platforms, APP and they will train their staff. So the refugees/immigrants will have public guidance services by using digital tools. A learning model will be developed with digital tools and fostering respect and understanding for diversity, intercultural competencies and values.

Amasya İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü

The Developmental Center of Thessaly, within the framework of Erasmus+, organizes in co-operation with the " Amasya İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü" the training of educators for the European program " Üşümüş Yüreklere Bir Sıcacık Dokunuş", which has been approved by the Erasmus+ National Agency in Turkey. The programme concerns the training of teachers and their familiarization with the use of tailored educational procedures aiming at better integration of refugees into the new school environment. One of the most important experiences for the participants was, the presentation of two refugees about their experience with the subject of training.
The fourth transnational project meeting of the Erasmus+ project with the title “Game-based Learning for Adults”, code: 2017-1-TR01-KA204-046822 was held in Vasto, Italy on 12-13 February 2019. At the meeting the partners had the chance to test the improved draft version of the board game and to discuss about the evaluation of the game in each participant country. The site of the project was presented by the project coordinator. Also, the online platform which has developed for the project was presented by AKETH. The next transnational project meeting of the project will be held in Granada, Spain.
The Developmental Center of Thessaly (AΚΕΤΗ - DCT) participates in a European program entitled "Charter of Common Refugee Strategies - CORES" with program code 2018-TR01-KA204-059635. The program coordinators are Recep Tayyip Erdogan University from Turkey and consists of 7 partners: Recep Tayyip Erdogan University (TR), HACETTEPE UNIVERSITESI (TR), REINTEGRA (CZ), KU TU EOOD (BG), ANAPTIXIAKO KENTRO THESSALIAS (GR) IFES (SP), EGINA (IT). The aim of the project is to help newly arrived refugees and the professionals working with them. CORES addresses refugees’ issues by working with adult education providers in different program countries to ease the burden of refugees’ crises left on governments in EU; to contribute the newly arrived and host society mutual acceptance.

European project "Önce Çalış Sonra Yarış"

Developmental Center of Thessaly in cooperation with the school from Turkey "Ali Tunaboylu Vocational and Technical High School" participates in the European project entitled "Önce Çalış Sonra Yarış" and program code "2018-1-TR01-KA102-053373" approved in the framework of ERASMUS + and in particular, action KA1 - learning mobility of individuals. The program includes 7 students and 2 associate teachers of technical vocational high school from Turkey. Students are assigned to local businesses that are active in the catering industry (Tsikali, Ladofanaro, Palia Istoria) and their practical training is fifteen days. At the end of their work placement, students will participate in the 11th International Southern Cultivation Contest, to be held at the 28th International Food, Beverage, Machinery, Equipment and Packaging Exhibition, Detrop, from 1 to 4 March, at the Pavilion 16 of the premises of the Thessaloniki International Fair (HELEXPO). The Southern European Cooking Competition is organized every two years by the Chefs Club of Northern Greece in collaboration with HELEXPO-TET and the support of the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS). The 2017 event brought together more than 450 entries of distinguished Chefs and Culinary Schools, which competed in 34 categories and were evaluated by 23 international judges, whose participation gave the competition the prestige of an international competition, setting high standards for unique gastronomic creations. Also, Thomas A. Gugler, President of the World Association of Chefs Societies, attended the 10th International Competition. The main purpose of the project is to improve pupils' knowledge, broader understanding of practices, policies and systems in youth work in other countries, increase their ability to bring changes in the modernization and outward-looking nature of the labor market, broader social understanding and responsiveness, linguistic and cultural diversity as well as increased support and promotion of mobility activities for learners.
