EDUZWACE 2nd Project Meeting in Lisbon, Portugal

The European Commission has approved a new, ambitious package of measures for the circular economy, designed to help European businesses and consumers move to a stronger and more circular economy where resources are used more sustainably.

The term circular economy refers to the gradual creation of a new productive and consumer model that allows the use of materials for a much longer period while minimizing the use of natural resources. As for zero waste, though it seems impossible, there are examples of cities that have been based on raising public awareness of the issue by achieving a dramatic reduction in the rate of waste through a change in organizational model and a citizen's mindset.
The Thessaly Development Center participated in the second project meeting (23-24 / 05/2019) of the European project entitled "Education for Zero Waste and Circular Economy - Erasmus + Project Eduzwace" (http://www.eduzwace.eu/) in Lisbon, Portugal.

The Erasmus + Project Eduzwace project has been approved under ERASMUS + and in particular the KA2 Strategic Partnerships. During the meeting, the partners had the opportunity to discuss and shape future steps for all project activities.
