Anaptyxiako Kentro Thessalias - AKETH [Developmental Centre Of Thessaly–D.C.T.], located in Trikala, Greece, was found in 2004. It is a nonprofit certified (by the Greek National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications & Vocational Guidance) VET provider, Adult training centre and adult educators/trainers examination center. It's organized in two main Directorates: Directorate of National Programmes and Directorate of European programmes. It is managed by the board of directors (coordinated by the Chairman), which derives its jurisdiction from the Statute of the organization. As a nonprofit organization it uses its surplus revenues (derived by its activities operating as a VET provider, providing counseling services and e-solutions) to further achieve its purpose or mission.
AKETH-DCT is aligned with the E.U. strategic framework about unemployment and the phenomena of social exclusion and the increase of poverty. As the main way to confront these issues is through quality and certified education/training, we are focusing on such initiatives and procedures. AKETH-DCT is certified and compliant with Information Security Management System (ISO/IEC 27001:2013) & Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015). It has been awarded by the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (IKY - Greek National Agency for the implementation of its exemplary training projects under Leonardo da Vinci programme in 2011.

AKETH e-learning
Today's learners want relevant, mobile, self-paced, and personalized content. This need is fulfilled with the online mode of learning. Here, students can learn at their own comfort and requirement.
E-Learning is conducted and eventuates in many forms and at times is the blend of the following methodologies and practices:
- Completely online
- Provided through Mixed Learning – A blend of online and direct communication
That is in the two different forms:
- Synchronous- the communication between the provider and the receiver happens directly as powerful video-audio conferencing tools such as Webex, ZOOM and BigBlueButton
- Asynchronous- The information is passed through our powerful LMS based on Moodle
With the vast experience we have gained in both national and European projects, designing, implementing and managing Learning Management Systems, we have come up with our own LMS, based on Moodle, and built on the following principles. User-friendly interface, ease of integration, ease of access, accessibility, personalized learning, gamification, reporting and tracking and security.
